After the success of the Buzz Barton models, Daisy signed on the more established and much older cowboy film star Buck Jones to lend his name to this model, and it was an instant hit. Featuring an under the barrel lever action, this new mechanism was more difficult to cock than the Model 25’s. This rifle has a wooden stock with a built-in compass and an even cooler sundial and measures 36” in length. Vintage Daisy Number 111, Model 40 Red Ryder carbine with leather scabbard. Introduced in 1940, the model 40 Red Ryder carbine was one of the most popular BB guns Daisy produced and made the name Daisy synonymous with BB Guns. This gun certainly saw a lot of cowboy action in its day as it is in clearly used shape with wear showing on the metal finish and the wood. The leather scabbard is also in clearly used condition with some areas of significant wear. The Red Ryder logo is hot branded on the stock on one side and a previous owner has carved the rifles nickname “Old Clearshot” on the stock above the cocking lever. A cocking lever that pulled down and forward was located behind the trigger and under the front part of the stock. When pulled back, it disappears into its original position, hidden from view. Vintage Daisy model 1941 number 140 Defender air rifle. This 1000 shot model featured a wide frame and a two-piece wooden stock and forearm. BBs are loaded through an under-barrel tube just like the Lightning Loader and the Red Ryder models. This rifle has the original cloth sling and decal which is not complete, and parts have peeled off. The metal has some light oxidation and the wood finish has wear commensurate with age. Lot of 6 vintage Daisy books and accessories. This lot includes: - Daisy Red Ryder and Little Beaver 10 cent handbook. Has a color cover with some color pages inside. Per the description on the front cover: It’s a Comic, Fun and Adventure Magazine – a “how to do it” magazine. A Movie Magazine, all combined into one handy, thick, pocket-sized Handbook. The copyright is 1946. There are 128 pages. The handbook is complete with some wear and tears on the cover but still good color. A very special piece for the Daisy collector. Handbook measures 5.25” x 4.5”. - Daisy Genuine Leather BB Loader. Comes in original paper envelope. Original package included a leather wallet and 2 refill packs of BBs. The 2 packs of BBs are not present. The leather wallet that holds BBs that can be used to pour the BBs in for loading can be put in your pocket or attached to your belt. The BB wallet is in excellent condition, looks to be never used. The envelope has good colors but does have wear. Envelope measures 6.25” x 3.5”. - Daisy original rifle strap. Strap looks to be in very good condition. Metal ends have some corrosion. - Cloth BB bag with 2 Daisy boulder size marbles. Vintage Daisy model 188 spring action air pistol. This pistol is capable of shooting BB’s as a 24 shot repeater or .177 Cal (4.5 mm) pellets single shot. Comes in original Styrofoam box cradle with printed cardboard box top with original manual and folded Air Gun Magazine offer pamphlet, all with wear commensurate with age. This model was advertised as the most powerful Daisy spring-pistol BB pistol to date, was all metal construction with a cocking lever below the barrel. Vintage Daisy Targeteer BB pistol. Introduced in 1937, this is the first BB pistol Daisy produced, was marketed as an “indoor fun" gun and took .118 caliber BB’s which are smaller than the standard .177 caliber BB’s. Pistol is all blued metal in very good condition and measures approx. 10” in length. The pistol came in a box that turned into a target backstop, including BB’s, spinner targets, target cards and instructions to make the backstop. This is a complete set from the very first Daisy BB gun and is in very good condition for its age. Box top has wear and taped corners. Gun is untested. Vintage 1950s Daisy BB Gun Cleaning Kit. This was their first-class top of the line cleaning kit. Under its red-hinged lid were complete directions for cleaning and oiling the gun along with two cleaning rods, one wire brush, and one rod for cloth patches. The kit also contained oil, touch-up bluing, brushes, patches and a polishing cloth. Kit appears to include oiling and bluing bottles at least part full, patch boxes with some of the patches and one wire brush. Kit comes in the original box that is in very good condition, missing one end. Box measures 14” long, 2.25” wide and 1.25” tall. Vintage 1916 Daisy Model 40 Defender BB gun/rifle. World War I rallied Americans and businesses alike. Daisy was no exception and was quick to produce a military look-alike. The Model 40 Defender was first produced in 1916. This model was a 50-shot lever-cocking model with nearly a full-length wooden stock. This rifle also included a canvas sling and a rubber tipped metal bayonet. Rifle has a blued-metal finish. Has factory Model 40 tag attached to lever action that may be a reproduction. Vintage 1939 Daisy Model 104 Double Gun, resembles double-barrel shotgun, with two triggers that could shoot a single BB out of each barrel. Rifle was cocked by the center-break action mechanism, and the BBs were loaded through two removable shot tubes. This gun also featured a safety lever that was automatically engaged when the rifle was cocked. With a $5 price tag, the Model 104 Double Gun was, to date, the most expensive rifle that Daisy produced. Due to the onset of WW II, it was only manufactured for three short years, making it very rare. Rifle in very good condition. Measures 37” long.
