Otto. Sight size 35" x 26", overall 46" x 37". Shows craquelure, some in painting and paint loss. Jacob S. Otto (1778-1827) was the son of Dr. Bodo Otto Jr. He graduated from Princeton in 1797 and became a lawyer and merchant in Philadelphia. In 1821 he joined the Holland Land Company, replacing Joseph Ellicott, as principal land agent. Jacob Otto died in 1827 when he contracted pneumonia after officiating the opening of the Eerie Canal. The towns of Otto and East Otto, NY are named after Jacob Otto as is Otto Street in Buffalo, NY. William E. Otto (1864-1950) of Buffalo, NY was the grandson of Jacob S. Otto.

Mahogany shelf clock made in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Weight driven, brass eagle finial, shaped crest fretwork, painted and gilt dial, veneered base with French feet. The case is stamped, M.C.I.P. (Massachusetts Correctional Institute Plymouth) 39" high x 13 1/4" wide x 6" deep. Shows cracking to veneer on front. Stennes was famous for reproducing classic American clocks from 1940 to 1970. He is also known for murdering his wife and subsequently committing suicide.

Aaron Willard (1757-1844) eight-day time only, weight driven. Brass finial, leaf shaped crest, convex painted metal dial, reverse painted door marked Aaron Willard Boston, reverse painted panel classical scene, ending in brass animal feet. Mahogany case with original finish. 36" high x 13" wide x 6 1/2" deep. Unknown working condition. Minor loss to fretwork. Comes with 1933 work receipt note mentioning the weight cord was replaced.

Early 19th century. Made in New Bedford, Massachusetts. An (8) day weight driven shelf clock with a beautiful mahogany case and reverse painted glass door. It also features an alarm that is constructed in between the frame or plates. The clock is signed faintly on the concave iron dial. 31" high x 13 1/2" wide x 6" deep. Very good condition. It is currently working but not guaranteed. Ezra Kelley and Nathaniel Shepherd both worked in Dartmouth and New Bedford in 1820 through 1823 and then together again in 1833 through 1835.

Anne style chest with 2 drawers over 4 graduated and one drawer base. Pegged and dovetailed construction made of cherry and pine secondary wood, old refinished condition. 62" high x 39" wide x 19" deep. Shows some restoration to drawer lip and slight cracking to side. Old replaced brass hardware.

The foundry also casted sculptures for Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Francois Pompon, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Honore Daumier, Paul Gauguin, Auguste Rodin, Charles Despiau, and more. The piece is in good overall condition. It comes with a painted wood plinth base. For a similar example see Brooklyn Museum, object # 28.422. monumental yachting trophy, urn form. From the Eastern Yacht Club Cruise, 1913. Prize for the first-class schooner, won by Elena, which was owned by Morton Plant: a railroad baron, philanthropist, and avid yachtsman. He was a member of the New York Yacht Club and became known as Commodore Plant, and commissioned Nathaniel Herreshoff to build a yacht that "could win": the 136 ft Elena. Plant was also known for a famous trade with Pierre Cartier where Plant traded his Fifth Avenue home in New York city to Cartier for a double strand of pearls. At the time, they were both valued at 1 million dollars. Plant gave them as a gift to his young wife, Maisie. The trophy is in a classical design with a wave and shell rim, flared body with a galleon at sea. Wreath designs, base has fish tail supports and a shell and wave design. Gold wash interior. 11 1/2" high, 12 1/2" diameter. 91.94 ozt. Made in Arthur Stone workshop by holloware specialist Herbert A. Taylor. Marked on bottom. Eickholt paperweight, 5 1/2" high, small chip to base, a Vandermark bottle with threaded design, nick to thread, 4" high, C.C. Walters vase 6 3/4" high and a paperweight 2 1/2" high, both dated 85. An unsigned 6 1/2" bowl, oval bowl with swirl designs, signed illegibly, 4" high, 13" wide, 8" deep.

round with square bottom, double wrapped rim, 9 1/2" high, 9" diameter, minor damage. One is round double wrapped rim in good condition, 14" high, 11" diameter. One is rectangular 14 1/4" high, 19" wide, 11" deep, double wrapped rim, shows some slight damage. One is a large rectangular gathering basket 14" high, 28 1/2" wide, 17 1/2" deep, good condition overall. Next are two splint buttocks baskets 10 1/2" high, 13 1/2" wide, 10" deep, good condition. A flat buttocks basket, 10 1/2" high, 14" wide, 10" d., minor roughage. All in original natural finish.

the Book of Hours, 15th/16th century, framed on vellum or parchment. The first one is probably the "Annunciation states onto mana tekysima to mina intercede for us", 6" x 4 1/4", great color with gold highlights. The second page states "Virgin will Listen to God". Also has great color with gold highlights, 6" x 4 1/4". Housed in a folding frame 6 3/4" x 5". We did not remove from the frame.

Hours, 15th/16th century. Text states I will Give You My Lord, My Lord, etc. Sight size 3 1/4" x 2 1/2". Framed and matted 10 1/2" x 8 1/2". We did not remove from the frame.

circa 1170-1180 A.D., Latin, Hebrew God Guards. It consists of the denunciation of Judah for idolatry and wealth, sight size 9 1/4" x 6 1/4". In a Victorian gilt frame 12 1/2" x 9 1/2", probably on vellum or parchment with some light foxing. We did not remove from the frame along with a circa 1300 A.D. page in Latin on vellum or parchment numbered in the upper right corner #146, sight size 9 1/4" x 6 1/2". Shows some staining. In a gold gilt 6frame 11 1/2" x 9 3/4". Text is written in single column, 23 lines in Gothic book hand in black and red ink. There are 6 large letters in blue and gold.

circa 1300 A.D. in Latin, housed in two contemporary frames each measuring 10" x 12 1/2". The pages and partial pages show tears and staining.

1400 A.D. Two pages in Latin with exceptional gilt and colored lettering on vellum or parchment, sight size 7 1/2" x 5 1/2". In a double-sided gilt frame 8 1/2" x 6 1/4". Two framed Psalms from the Book of Hours, France, circa 1100 A.D. in Latin, on vellum or parchment, sight size 4 1/2" x 3 1/4", with wooden frame 8 1/4" x 10". Shows minor paper loss and age appropriate wear.

1750, the first depicts a group of warriors charging into battle on horseback over the body of a dead soldier. Sight size 7" x 5 3/4" with frame, 13" x 9 3/4". Very good condition with great color and gold highlights. Circa 1750, the second is a watercolor portrait of a dignitary, 12" x 8 1/4" with modern frame, 13 1/2" x 9 1/2", good condition. Has not been removed from frame.

manuscript believed to be circa 1570-1600. Two rendered in ink, watercolor and gold, sight size 11" x 6", with modern frames 16 3/4" x 11 1/4". They appear to be in very good condition but have not been removed from the frames. The third prayer leaf is 9" x 9 1/2" sight size, with frame 13 1/2" x 14 1/4". It is rendered in red and black ink, watercolor and gold. Appears to be in good condition.

1450 verse from the Benedictus which is sung at Laudes. In ink, watercolor and gold on vellum or parchment, sight size 7 1/2" x 5", overall with frame 13 1/4" x 10", good condition with light staining, has not been removed from frame. Next is a circa 1500 Gregorian chant in ink and watercolor, sight size 7" x 6", overall with frame 13 3/4" x 12 1/2", good condition. Third is Anaphora leaf, circa 1500, ink, watercolor and gold on vellum or parchment, 7" x 6" sight size, overall with frame 13 3/4" x 12 1/2". Appears to be in good condition, has not be removed from frame.

Spanish, probably circa 1500, rendered in ink, watercolor and gold. Colorful floral border with a round portrait of the Virgin and an angel, Sight size 20" x 14 3/4" with frame 27 1/4" x 20 3/4". Good condition, has not been removed from frame.

Reproduced from the celebrated Books of Hours, excellent condition with original slipcase. Next is The Hours of Catherine of Cleves by John Plummer, George Braziller, New York, 196, octavo, limited edition, containing 160 colored plates, original slipcase, excellent condition. Last is The Book of Kells described by Sir Edward Sullivan, third edition with 24 colored plates, The Studio Limited, 1928, brown cloth boards and spine which shows wear and staining. Interior has some light tanning, one loose page.

Staffordshire pottery. Enoch Woods, Adams, Ridgeway, Longport, etc. To include: Twelve 9 3/4" to 10" plates, four 9 1/4" plates, and a 9 1/4" bowl. All show various English and other scenes, such as the Welsh Llanarth Court, Guy's Cliff, Gulford Hall, Wardour Castle, Fonthill Abbey, Pains Hill, Faulkbourne Hall, Writtle Lodge, Moulin sur la Marne, pastoral scene, Hanover Lodge, etc. One plate shows a chip.

To include: eight 8 3/4" plates, two 8" plates, four 7 1/2" plates two 7 7/8" plates, four 6 1/2" plates, six 2 1/2" high handless cups, nine 2 1/2" handleless cups, two 2 5/8" handleless cups, a 2 1/2" cup and 6" diameter saucer (zebra and rider design), a 2 1/2" high x 5" diameter bowl, five 5 1/2" saucers. Seven 5 5/8" saucers, some with matching cups. Various castle, people, floral, and other designs. Several plates show very minor roughage.

bowl. 19th century. Four blue 10" plates, a blue 10" bowl, green 10 1/4" bowl, two brown 10 1/2" plates, two red 7" plates, a black 7" plate, a purple 7" plate, 2 black and brown 4 1/4" plates. Good overall condition. One blue plate shows a crack.

19th c. gravy boats, one purple 4 1/4" x 6 1/2", and one brown 4 3/4" x 7". Early 19th c. Harvard college platter, brown transfer, 14" x 16 3/4". Along with a 20th c. Wedgewood platter, Harvard University, 1941, 17" x 19 1/4". Blue and white.

19th century. 3" x 2 1/4". Good condition. In a partial leather case frame which is damaged.

base. Old finish. Old replaced brasses. Veneer patches to top. 34" high, 37" wide, 20 1/2" deep.

century. Spongeware decoration. (2) with milking figures, 4 1/2" - 5 1/2" high, 6" - 6 3/4" wide. Black, brown, green, and yellow. All covers present. Overall good condition.

Depicting apples and grapes in a basket. Unsigned. Sight size 14" x 18 3/4". In an exceptional carved gilt gesso frame. 20" x 24 3/4". Frame shows very minor losses to gesso. Otherwise, exceptional condition. Appears to be untouched.

18th century. Possibly made in Boston. Block and urn turnings. Turned front stretcher. Turned finials. 19th-century painted finish. 43 1/2" high, 19" wide, 15 1/2" deep. 16" seat height. Good overall condition.

century. Dovetail construction. Hand wrought handles and feet. 17" high, 13" diameter.

shore bird carved sculpture, 7 1/2" high, 15 1/4" long, 11" deep. Life-like carved and painted sculpture on natural hard wood base, signed on base. Shows chip to one feather.

possibly Mason Factory, Detroit, MI, glass eyes, early 20th century. 7" high, 15 1/2" long, original paint, crack to body.

in as found condition, cracks, missing eyes, 7 1/2" high, 14" long, 6" wide. Formerly attributed to Shorty Burr, Hingham, MA.

circa 1930, slight loss to neck, 7" high, 13" long. One has 2 eyes missing and paint loss. The other has a crack to neck. Age appropriate wear. Both are stamped on the bottom R. S. Whitney, Dedham, MA. Formerly attributed to Shorty Burr, Hingham, MA.

Teal bufflehead white dot face, well used condition, partial beak missing, 5" high, 9 3/4" long, 4 1/2" wide. Along with a turned head Maine teal, 6 1/2" high, 9 1/2" long, 4 1/2" wide.

Midwest, one possibly Texas, 18" high, 25" long, and 18", 26". Age appropriate wear with some imperfections.

carved and painted, 16 1/2" and 17" high, 7 1/2" to 15" wide. Two yellow legs with unusual burl root bases, 13 3/4" to 14 1/4" high, 9" to 9 1/2" wide. All measured with the stands.

Harry Monk with glass eyes, 6 1/2" high, 5" long, a Kent Harris, from Vestal, NY, glass eyes, 8 3/4" high, 11 1/2" wide. Also, two yellow legs, one from Newbury, MA, metal eyes, possibly by Stevens, 11" high, 7 3/4" wide, and another with eye missing, 11 1/2" high, 7 1/2" wide.

Canadian maritime head, early 20th century, old painted surface, 9" high, 19 1/2" long, 6 1/2" wide, some cracking, horseshoe weighted base. Age appropriate wear.

20th century, worn painted finish, 11 1/2" high, 18" long, 7 1/2" wide, some cracking to body.

Cape Elizabeth, circa 1900, original finish with age appropriate wear. Tack eyes. 8" high 17 1/2" long, 8" wide.

Mattapoisett, MA, circa 1970. Ruddy Duck Hen, 7 1/2" high, 13 1/2" long. Hen Surf Scoter, 7" high, 12" long. Excellent condition.

Fairhaven Road, Mattapoisett, dated 1973, to include a Red Head Drake and a Red Head Hen. Both signed on bottom. Each 7" high, 13 to 14" long. Excellent condition.

Early 20th century 30 1/4" wide, 66 3/4" high. Cream color with dark green border, and black and red lettering. Original flaking paint decoration.

17" x 94". Original worn condition with age appropriate wear. Some cracking to wood.

Moore & Ross Improved Platform Wagon Owego, NY, 5 1/2" x 58 1/4". The other sheet steel Fire School sign with painted arrow, 12" x 36". Good to fair condition.

Pure Honey arrow shape 10" x 34 1/2". An ice cream sign, 20 1/4" x 35". Early 20th century. Age appropriate wear. Partial molding missing on ice cream sign.

painted sign Quant's, 9 1/2" x 24", "Bus" Lake with raised letters, 5 1/4" x 19", and an oval sign with gilt letters Lightfoot, 6" x 14 3/4".

Pease Law Office, tin mounted on wood, 5" x 18". Three-sided wooden Optician 800 sign, 24" x 1 3/4" x 3". A two-sided wooden sign Lillard Cox Manager Trainer, 7 1/4" x 12". Early 20th century. All show age appropriate wear.

tombstone shaped top, 19th century, old black finish with gold leaf letters, 49" high, 22 3/4" wide. Very good condition with age appropriate wear.

20th century. Ashley's Home Cooking, sign is missing an end molding, 14" x 31 1/2". Other sign is titled Heated Cabin, 9 1/4" x 28", shows cracking.

most likely a Boarding House sign, 23" high, 49 1/2" wide. Possibly repainted.

century. Nashawena Island is one of the Elizabeth Islands in Buzzards Bay, Mass. 10" x 36". Overall good condition.

early 20th century. 11 1/2" high, 46" wide. Excellent condition.

Martins for Silk, which is a 2-sided wooden sign, 8 1/4" x 19 1/4". Painted tin sign Mrs. C. F. Paul Dressmaker, 7 1/4" x 20 3/4". Framed sign on artist board Hemstitching Picoting and Pleating in wooden frame, 12 1/2" x 16 1/2".

century. One is Railway and measures 5" x 35 1/2". The other is express 5" x 39 1/4". Shows loss to enamel on mounting holes.
