Information
Lot # 66
Group - Category Construction & Farm - Livestock
Lead (VIC) PADDY - WELSH X GELDING
Description
AS PROVIDED BY VENDOR * NAME: Paddy BREED: Welsh x SEX: Gelding HEIGHT:11.3 hh(measured) AGE: 11 Paddy will be a ripper kids pony with regular work and a keen little rider. He would stand all day to be brushed and groomed and rugged and fussed over. He will follow you around, meet you at the gate every time and is completely comfortable indoors if an open door presents itself! He is sweet and quirky, very oral - a bit like a toddler, he must have whatever you have in your hand in his mouth! He’ll carry his own lead or nibble your jumper given the opportunity. We bought Paddy from a riding school for our young children, unfortunately they've taken a shine to the little rescue mini instead and poor Paddy isn't getting the attention he deserves. History: Paddy spent approx. 5 years at a riding school, prior to that we believe he was a show pony for another young girl. Paddy is best suited as a lead line pony or second pony for an older, confident child. He can be ponied off another horse. He is most comfortable in an arena setting but has also been on short trail rides since he’s been here with us. He does need a confident rider for off lead trail riding as he gains confidence from his rider. He is happier following another horse, though, with a confident rider, he will take the lead. No buck. No kick. No bolt. He is girthy and has a nip, not a bite. Paddy has recently had teeth, hooves and worming done. Dentist aged him at approx. 10 - 11yrs old. He is currently barefoot with great hooves, though he doesn’t particularly like walking on gravel. He was great for the farrier and dentist and easy to worm. Will stand without being tied to rug. He walked straight on the float when I bought him here. Paddy is not in work and is sporting his winter woolies. He is sound, has no scars or old injuries that I am aware of. Pick up location: Tarawingee VIC PLEASE NOTE : Andrew Wilson & Co only acts as an agent between the vendor and buyer and as such can give no advice as to the suitability or compatibility of the horses on offer in our auction.
